ARREST MADE IN GREER WOMAN’S OCTOBER STABBING DEATH
Law enforcement authorities announced this morning that 29-year-old Zachary David Hughes has been charged with the murder of Christina Larain Parcell, who was found dead of multiple stab wounds in her Canebrake subdivision home in Greer in October.
Hughes turned himself in late Wednesday. He has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.
Hughes has no prior criminal record.
Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis said officials are still trying to determine the motive for the murder. He did confirm that Parcell was targeted.
Police say Hughes is a Juillard-trained professional concert pianist who resided in downtown Greenville, but traveled all over the country to perform.
