 Reports have learned that Yaya Mayweather has changed her plea in her assault with a deadly weapon case that occurred in 2020.
According to documents exclusively obtained by The Shade Room, the mother of one appeared in a Houston court on Monday, and has changed her plea from guilty to NOLO CONTENDERE (no contest). This plea allows defendants to accept the criminal punishment but not admit guilt.
Yaya Mayweather pleaded guilty back in April for stabbing Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, ex-girlfriend to rapper NBA Young Boy, TSR exclusively learned.
In April 2020, Jacobs was at NBA Youngboy’s home when Yaya appeared. The women began to exchange words when Yaya grabbed two knives and stabbed Jacobs. On Wednesday, Yaya pleaded guilty to the crime.
