Wormhole suffers $320mn crypto robbery – but says funds are safe
Cryptocurrency platform Wormhole confirmed all funds are safe Thursday after it suffered the fourth-largest crypto heist in history after it was “exploited” for $320mn-worth of ethereum.
The platform tweeted that “the vulnerability has been patched” without giving any specific details about how the funds are safe after hackers had fraudulently created over 120,000 tokens.
Blockchain analysis firm Elliptic claims that Wormhole have offered the hackers $10mn to return the funds.
