World’s 10 Richest Men Doubled Wealth During Pandemic
While “the incomes of 99% of humanity are worse off because of Covid-19,’ the world’s top 10 saw their wealth more than double from $700 billion to $1.5 trillion, according to anti-poverty charity Oxfam.
For folks like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, the Covid years have been more ‘profitable’ than the past fourteen combined – the equivalent of the big 10 getting a $15,000 raise every second!
“Central banks pumped trillions of dollars into financial markets to save the economy, yet much of that has ended up lining the pockets of billionaires riding a stock market boom,” said Oxfam’s executive director Gabriela Bucher.
