Women arrested in organized retail crime theft ring suspected of being from out of country

Two more people were taken off the streets that police say are part of an organized retail crime theft ring plaguing the Salt Lake Valley.

Special Agent Steve Jensen of the Crimes Against State Economics Task Force said the suspects hit five stores across three counties.

“It’s a persistent problem for us which is this organized retail theft right now and that’s what this particular organization is doing and there’s a profit for it,” said Jensen.
