A 27- year-old man is facing charges after a woman was found dead following a domestic violence incident at a home in Kettering on Tuesday.
Kettering Police Chief Chip Protsman said during a press conference Wednesday morning, they received a call around 4:30 p.m. from the Montgomery County Jail that a man showed up stating he had a domestic violence incident at a residence with his wife, and that she was injured.
Officers responded to the 2500 block of California Avenue, and after gaining entry to the home, they found a 28-year-old woman dead after being shot several times.
Protsman said the shooting is believed to have taken place in the residence’s bathroom.
Protsman also stated that the married couple had children, and have been placed with relatives.
“It is rare for Kettering to have homicides, it is the first of the year, unfortunately this appears to be a domestic violence incident as we well know appears to be a problem in this country,” Protsman said.
