A woman was shot in the chest in Chicago’s Gresham neighborhood early Monday.
Just before 2 a.m., police discovered the 34-year-old with a gunshot wound in the 7900 block of South Ashland Avenue.
She told officers she was shot at by a gunman who fled the scene.
The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and listed in fair condition.
As Area Two detectives conduct their investigation, no one is in custody.
