A woman was killed and two others were injured in a shooting in the Brighton Park neighborhood on Wednesday night.
According to police, the trio was in a car around 8 p.m. when gunfire erupted in the 4300 block of South Rockwell Street.
A 20-year-old woman was shot several times in the body and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she died. The Cook County Examiner’s Office has yet to identify her.
A 19-year-old man was shot multiple times, and a 41-year-old woman was shot in the leg. Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and were listed in good condition.
As Area One detectives conduct their investigation, no one is in custody.
