A woman was hospitalized and a man was killed in a shooting in Gage Park. The suspect is still being sought after by Chicago police.
It occurred on Friday at 5 p.m. in the S. Western 5000 block.
Chicago police report that two individuals who were inside a car were shot. They were a man and a woman.
Shot in the neck, the 22-year-old man was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he eventually passed away. The 24-year-old woman was shot in the elbow and leg.
She was also admitted to Mt. Sinai Hospital, but she should make a full recovery.
There hasn’t been an arrest made as of yet, and it’s unclear what caused the shooting. The inquiry is still underway.
