Chicago – Jeanette Olivo, 61, stopped to talk to a 15-year-old girl who was walking her 12-year-old dog, Bebe, around 3:15 p.m. outside of her apartment building in the 6600 block of West Irving Park Road.
Moments later without warning, Olivo ran towards the dog and stabbed it with a knife, police said.Â
Bebe suffered serious injuries and has undergone surgery to treat the various stab wounds.
Olivo, of Portage Park, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
