A woman is now in custody after being charged with running from police and putting others in danger and refusing to let her passenger get out of the car.
The affidavit for Eva Lewis, says on August 31st last year, an officer saw her speeding and tried to pull her over but she took off, going up to 118 mph.
It says the officer could tell the passenger did not want to be in the car.
It says Lewis was whizzing through heavy traffic, passing on the shoulder going 100 mph and took an exit so fast, the car flew off the road, crashed and burst into flames.
It says the passenger told police she was afraid she was going to die and begged Lewis to let her out, but, Lewis refused.
Lewis is charged with endangering others while eluding and kidnapping.
