A woman is charged with embezzling $109,000 from a Tulsa law firm where she worked.
The probable cause affidavit for Melissa Rodriguez says she would write duplicate checks and cash the second checks for herself.
It says it happened from August of 2023 to June of 2024 and the checks ranged from hundreds of dollars each to thousands.
It says she quit just about a week before the law firm discovered the duplicate checks.
It says she texted the law firm and said she was sorry and was filled with shame and guilt and wanted to pay them back.
The embezzlement charge is not a conviction.
