A Tulsa woman is charged with child neglect in the death of her 4 month old baby.

June 28, 2024, police respond to an apartment about a dead baby.
The baby’s surviving twin and 2 year old and 5 year old siblings were there along with their mother, Samantha Hammond.
Police say there was trash and spoiled food on the floor, counters and tables and cockroaches crawling on the kitchen walls.
They found a glass pipe and a straw with a substance on them that tested positive for meth, within reach of the kids.
They say she told police she smoked pot the night before and woke up the next morning and found the baby dead.
It says the 5 year old told police, mom smoked weed and the baby was crying because it was wedged between the wall and the bed and the 5 year old tried to wake up mom, but could not, and that’s how the baby died.
This is a charge, not a conviction.
