A woman has now pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of accessory to murder and been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Prosecutors say Makyah Riggins was the driver in a shooting that killed 17 year old Demarion Brown.
They say she and the shooters, made a rap song about the killing.

Riggins was originally charged with murder, using a vehicle to discharge a weapon and a gang related offense.

She pled to accessory and the other 2 counts were dismissed.

This sentence runs at the same time as her other 2 sentences:

  1. 2022 drug related case; 3 years in prison
  2. federal case of carrying a gun in a crime of violence; 5 years in federal prison.
