A woman has now pleaded guilty to a DUI crash that killed a woman, Samantha Woodson.
Latosha Smith will be sentenced in September.
Tulsa Police says Smith was intoxicated and speeding, then lost control and crashed into a couple that was panhandling in the median, killing Woodson and seriously injuring the man.
Smith then slammed into a man’s truck who was stopped at a stoplight, backed up and drove off.
A retired trooper saw it, called 911, then followed her until a Tulsa officer got to her.
Smith told police she’d been drinking because she’d lost her job.
She only had a learner’s permit at the time.
