A woman has been charged with misdemeanors of DUI and negligent homicide after a crash last October that killed a pedestrian.
The affidavit says Clydia Nelson was driving North on Lewis and hit a man crossing the street.
It says she told officers she’d had 4 shots of Crown about an hour before the crash.
Officers say she was unsteady on her feet, had dilated pupils and watery eyes and didn’t perform well on the field sobriety tests and blew a .09 on the breathalyzer.
She had no driver’s license and no insurance.
The victim was Joseph Harcrow.
Family and friends say he had a broken leg, broken pelvis, broken ribs, jaw, nose, skull and several brain bleeds.
He died the next day from his injuries.
Records show Nelson was charged earlier this month with pointing a gun at someone and that charge is also pending.
