An Owasso woman has been charged with child abuse, after an elementary school called police, concerned about bruises all over a 10 year old girl.
The affidavit for Sarah Finchum, says the school called police on April 13th, after the girl had bruises on her arms, legs, thighs, butt and hands.
The girl says her mother got real angry and spanked the girl with a belt and the girl was withheld from school the next day.
The girl said she was scared to go home because of her mother’s daily anger, that anything the girl does, sets off the mother.
The girl said the other siblings were also disciplined the same way.
It says Finchum told DHS she does spank her children with a belt as well as making them do push-ups, run laps and stand in the corner.
