A Tulsa woman has been charged with 2 counts of child neglect after police say her 6 month old baby was hospitalized for amphetamine ingestion and an altered mental state.
The affidavit for Christina Campos Estrada says on October 12th, 2021, DHS called TPD to investigate possible child neglect.
It says Estrada admitted to police she’s a meth user and gets her drugs from a woman who lives with her, who is a meth dealer.
It says Estrada admitted she had been smoking meth in the days leading up to the baby going to the hospital and Estrada said she kept her meth in a loosely tied piece of plastic between her breasts, while the baby slept in her arms.
It says they heard the baby crying and found her with a rapid heartbeat, outstretched, rigid arms and a blank stare and called for an ambulance.
It says Estrada told police she threw away the remaining meth once they got to the hospital.
It says the day before, DHS had requested a drug test and Estrada tested positive for meth and amphetamines.
It says while taking the baby to the hospital, Estrada left her 3 year old daughter in the care of her meth dealer friend.
It says Estrada later filed a child stealing report because the meth dealer friend refused to return the girl, even after contacting the friend several times.
The 2 children were placed into DHS custody.
