BEATING A WINDSHIELD WITH A BAT — Woman arrested for vandalism, public intoxication.
On 6/18/2023 around 11:45 p.m., Officers were called out to a disturbance with a weapon at Naifeh’s Food Mart near 200 E. Mohawk Blvd.
When Officers arrived, the victims said they were sitting in their vehicle at the food mart when an unknown woman walked across the parking lot with a bat.
The woman, later identified as Mercedes Wilson, took the bat and started hitting the windshield. Wilson then got into a GMC SUV and left.
Officers quickly spotted the GMC in the area and attempted a traffic stop.
The GMC eventually sped off, causing a short pursuit, then pulled into a driveway. Wilson was a passenger in the vehicle and she was taken into custody.
Mercedes Wilson was arrested for:
- Malicious Injury to Property
- Public Intoxication
The driver of the GMC, Alvin Summers, was arrested for eluding.
This is an arrest, not a conviction.
