A Concord woman is behind bars for allegedly taking her niece’s life during an argument, the Concord Police Department reports.
Around 12:48 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, police were called to a domestic disturbance involving family members at a home on Coventry Commons Avenue. Officers say they arrived to find a 22-year-old woman stabbed. She was pronounced dead at the home.
Later that day, 41-year-old Sunsharay Coulbourne of Concord was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the incident. Police say the victim was Coulbourne’s niece.
Coulbourne is being held at the Cabarrus County Jail without bond.
