The unidentified man was able to break into the woman’s home in the Humboldt Park neighborhood at around 4:30 a.m. Saturday by removing the air conditioner from a back window, citing Chicago police.Â
Police are now on the lookout for a man who allegedly broke into the Chicago apartment of a 26-year-old woman and sexually assaulted her Saturday.
The woman, who was not named in the report, was in her bedroom in her apartment near California Avenue and Division Street when the alleged assailant entered. Once inside, the man allegedly led the woman throughout the apartment to find things he could steal.
The woman eventually managed to escape and ask for help.
In her statement, the woman said her alleged attacker was of medium brown complexion and around 25 to 35 years old. She also described him as around 6 feet tall with a thin build and short black hair.
