Tulsa Police arrest a woman accused of being drunk while driving and crashing her vehicle, with her two young children inside.
The arrest report for Sharon Pouncil says it happened October 15th, when witnesses saw her slam into a pole, then her vehicle flipped several times.
It says her vehicle ended up facing south in the northbound lane, the windshield was caved in and the entire front axle and a tire and wheel had been knocked off by the force of the impact.
It says Pouncil got her children, ages 5 and 6 out of the vehicle and they were taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
It says she smelled like alcohol, had watery, bloodshot eyes and admitted drinking 2 beers.
It says she told officers she had picked up her phone to change the song at her daughter’s request and that’s went she hit something, but, didn’t know what it was.
It says she failed the field sobriety tests and at the jail, the breathalyzer test showed a .20 blood alcohol content.
She was booked for 2 counts of child endangerment, aggravated DUI, first offense, aggravated speeding, texting while driving, DUI injury crash and not having a driver’s license.
