In reference to the shooting that occurred on May 26, 2022, in the 2000 block of Bryant Avenue, investigators have arrested 26-year-old Cowanda Mills of Baltimore.
Mills was arrested at the scene of the shooting, after she was held there by citizens until police arrived.
Investigators believe Mills shot the 26-year-old male victim following an argument.
Detectives transported Cowanda Mills to Central Booking Intake Facility where she has been charged with attempted 1st and 2nd degree murder and various handgun violations.
Western District Shooting Investigation
On May 26, 2022, at approximately 12 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2000 block of Bryant Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Once there, officers were advised that a 26-year-old male victim was transported to an area hospital by medics. His condition is currently unknown.
A possible suspect was still on the scene and being detained by citizens.
Medics transported that person to an area hospital with minor injuries. Upon being discharged from the hospital officers will take that possible suspect into custody for questioning.
