Shepherd brutally attacked by his own sheep
Male sheep, also known as rams, can be aggressive towards each other, especially during breeding season or when competing for resources such as food or water.
Rams have a natural instinct to establish dominance over other males in the group, and this can lead to fights or head-butting.
Can sheep get violent?
Yes they could, if they feel threatened or if they feel their young are threatened.
A ram certainly could, because its his job to defend his heard . Sheep themselves usually only attack with a butt or a flail of the front hooves in defence , relying upon the ram (if there is one present) to drive away the threat .
