San Francisco police shoot a man armed with a crossbow.
The San Francisco Police Department has released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting of a man carrying a crossbow, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
A 911 caller reported that a man was walking around carrying an AK-47, according to the report. Officers responded and saw that the man had a crossbow, not a gun.
Video shows officers giving repeated instructions to drop the weapon.
They also fired two bean bag rounds as the suspect began to raise both arms. After the suspect ignored multiple commands, an officer fired a gunshot.
