Cop shot in Jamaica Queens as police officers wait on a ambulance.
Multiple politicians and police agencies have identified the officer as 22-year-old Brett Boller, of Hauppauge, Long Island.
Police say the officer was shot in the hip around 3:30 p.m. in the area of Jamaica Avenue and 161st Street.
He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen near 161st Street and Hillside Avenue.
The NYPD commissioner says he should be considered armed and dangerous.
