Classified documents have been leaked which appear to show US national security secrets relating to Ukraine, the Middle East and China.
The leak, which includes 100 documents, expose Ukraine’s military strategy ahead of a planned offensive against Russian troops.
The Biden administration have been caught off guard.
A senior intelligence official called the leak “a nightmare for the Five Eyes.”
Former Pentagon official Mick Mulroy called the leak “a significant breach in security” that could hinder Ukrainian military planning.
On the other hand, military analysts told the NYT that the documents, if genuine at all, may have been modified as part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
One example given was the documents’ misleading overstating of Ukrainian deaths and an understatement of Russian deaths.

Zelensky’s advisor called the documents “virtual fake leaks”
Russian sources are skeptical, labelling the leaks as “disinformation by Western intelligence in order to mislead our command in identifying the enemy’s strategy in the coming counteroffensive.”
Is this a disinformation campaign by Russia? By the US? Or a legitimate leak exposing NATO’s Ukraine strategy?
