Ukraine slams Moscow’s claims of border clashes or Donetsk/Lugansk attacks
Kiev’s military spox Pavlo Kovalchuk has dismissed Moscow’s claims that five Ukrainian soldiers were killed during border incursions in Russia’s Rostov Region – despite the border infiltration being confirmed Monday by FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov.
“I reiterate that the Ukrainian armed forces have not attacked Donetsk and Lugansk, have not sent saboteurs or APCs across the border, have not shelled Russia’s territory or its border checkpoint,” Kovalchuk said.
Kovalcuk also reiterated Kiev’s belief that Donbass shelling has been self-inflicted by DPR & LPR forces as part of an “information war waged to pin the blame on Ukrainian armed forces.”
