Ukraine appoints an anti-corruption director, filling a post vacant since early in the war.

Ukraine appointed a new head of its National Anti-Corruption Bureau on Monday, filling a position that was left vacant for nearly a year.

The Ukrainian prime minister, Denys Shmyhal, said in a statement that the appointment of Semen Kryvonos gave Ukraine “a fully formed, functioning and independent anti-corruption infrastructure.
