Around 10:40 p.m., we received a call about an active shooting at the Walmart located at 81st and Lewis.
The first Officers to arrive quickly formed a team and ran into the building. Once inside, they cleared the building, looking for suspects or victims. Officers did locate a victim who said he was inside the bathroom stall when someone reached underneath and grabbed his bag.
The victim said when he exited the stall, two men confronted him, and one of them pulled out a gun and fired shots at him. The victim was not injured. This prompted the call to 911 about an Active Shooter.
The two suspects tried to exit through the front doors, but they were locked, so they turned around and ran back into the store.
An off-duty Deputy was working security for Walmart and was responding to hearing the shots in the store.
The Deputy spotted a suspect wearing all black and holding a pistol near the registers and fired at him.
The suspects split up, ran towards the store’s back, and exited through a rear emergency exit.
While on the scene investigating, we received a call from a local hospital that someone had dropped off a man with a gunshot wound to the torso.

He was identified as one of the suspects, Ryon Williams, who was shot by the off-duty Deputy while fleeing.
Officers searched the area around the Walmart, and the second suspect, Justice Rogers, was taken into custody. The Tulsa Police Helicopter and a K9 Officer helped find Rogers hiding under a bridge just north of the Walmart.
Ryon Williams was arrested for:
- Shooting with Intent to Kill
- Possession of a Firearm by an Adjudicated Delinquent
- Larceny
Justice Rogers was arrested for:
- Shooting with Intent to Kill
- Larceny
- Several warrants out of Washington County
