RawNews1st – Two suspects arrested for breaking into a home, stealing jewelry and one gigantic pistol.
On 7/8/2023 around 11:30 a.m., Officers were called out to a home near W. 71st St. and 33rd W. Ave. for a Burglary report.
The caller said she came home and found someone burglarized her house. She reported jewelry, firearms, and a safe had been taken. The victim also said someone had been drinking out of a bottle of alcohol in the home.
While Officers were at the home taking a report, 19-year-old Dylan Ward arrived at the house and returned a stolen BB gun and a necklace. Ward admitted that he was involved in the burglary. Ward was arrested for 2nd Degree Burglary.
Dylan Ward told Detectives he had an accomplice in the incident, but only knew him by his Facebook profile name.
On 7/14/2023, Detectives identified the second suspect involved in the burglary as 20-year-old Davion Robinson.
On 7/20/2023, Detectives tracked down Robinson to an apartment near 23rd and Jackson. Robinson was taken into custody, and Detectives recovered the large stolen pistol taken in the burglary along with a bracelet. Robinson admitted to also stealing a PlayStation 4 and Nike Air Jordans from the home.
Davion Robinson was also arrested for 2nd Degree Burglary.
One of the suspects in this case, Dylan Ward, falls under the McGirt ruling (https://bit.ly/McGirt).
He will either be prosecuted in Tribal Court or Federal Court. We will continue to work with our Federal or Tribal partners as this case continues.
