GBI in search of missing car owned by one of the two sisters found dead with bags over their heads, tossed over a bridge
Georgia authorities are investigating after discovering a gruesome murder scene in Rome on Wednesday, where two sisters were found dead under a bridge.
According to the Rome News-Tribune, Floyd County Chief Deputy Coroner Connie Chandler identified the victims as Vanita Nicole “Vera” Richardson, 19, and 30-year-old Truvenia Campbell, 30.
A scanner traffic report indicated that the sisters were found with plastic bags over their heads and shotgun shells beside their bodies, although authorities haven’t confirmed the information.
Both sisters reportedly found dumped under an East Rome bypass bridge. Officials said Richardson, an Armuchee High School student, was scheduled to graduate next week.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist local authorities.
