Two Shot, One Fatally, in Struggle for Handgun Gage Park, Chicago W 55th St & S Spaulding Ave.

According to an update from police, around 8:13 p.m., “A 42-year-old male and 33-year-old-male were involved in a verbal altercation, when one of the males produced a handgun.

A struggle for the weapon ensued and both victims were shot.

The 42-year-old sustained multiple gunshot wounds, he was treated by the CFD, and transported to [the] hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The 33-year-old was shot multiple times about the body, he was treated by the CFD, transported to [the] hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

There is no one in custody and Area One Detectives are investigating.”
