Two people stole cash from an armored truck in the parking lot of a Jewel-Osco in south suburban Homewood on Tuesday morning.
According to police, officers responded to the parking lot of the Jewel-Osco at 3153 183rd St. in Homewood around 9:31 a.m.
Officers arrived to find two male suspects approaching the security guard and striking him with a firearm while demanding money.
According to police, the suspects stole an unknown amount of money before fleeing westbound in a vehicle.
According to police, the armored truck driver received minor injuries.
