RawNews1st -Redcar Response Officers arrested two suspects in connection with an aggravated burglary within one hour of the incident being reported.
Police were called to the report of the burglary at a property on Stakesby Close in Guisborough at around 3:30am this morning, Wednesday 26th October.
It was reported that a man and woman had smashed a window to access the property, dragged the male victim in his 70s out of bed and injured his hands with a knife to entice him to tell them his pin number.
They then reportedly stole the victim’s bank card and cash and left the property.
Soon after the incident was reported, officers traced one of the suspects hiding underneath a car and the second suspect was located in a nearby property.
A man, 37, and woman, 33, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and they both remain in custody.
