Two More UK Energy Firms COLLAPSE as Rocketing Energy Prices Cause Market Chaos (Report)
Avro Energy and Green, both imploded today after a jump in natural gas prices pushed the energy sector to the brink leaving 800,000 customers in a state of limbo.
Ofgem and business minister Kwasi Kwarteng warned parliament that soaring gas prices could force more energy providers out of the market putting customers at risk.
Five small operators have already folded in the last five weeks as wholesale prices rose a record-breaking 250% since the beginning of the year, leaving more than half a million customers in need of a new supplier.
