Two men were hurt in a drive-by shooting in South Shore on Monday night; Chicago police are looking into the incident.
About 10:20 p.m., two 35-year-old men were walking on the sidewalk in the 7000 block of South Merrill Avenue when a light sedan pulled up and someone started shooting at them.
One of the men is critically ill at the University of Chicago Medical Center, according to the police, who say the victims were taken there.
The other man was reported to be in good condition despite having a gunshot wound to his foot.
As local detectives look into the matter, no one is being held.
