Two men were arrested and charged on Monday afternoon in suburban Chicago for allegedly burglarizing a home.
Lisle police responded to the 1700 block of Burlington Avenue around 1:45 p.m. for a report of two people attempting to break into a house.
Officers arrived near the scene and discovered the suspects’ vehicle was leaving the house. The vehicle was then stopped and three suspects were detained while officers searched the house for evidence of a burglary.
According to police, they discovered a broken window and other evidence of a burglary.
After that, all three suspects were taken to the Lisle Police Department for questioning.
Meanwhile, detectives contacted the homeowners, who confirmed that the broken window had not been broken previously and that some of their property was missing.
Erik Pelligrino, 31, of Naperville, and Jonte McMillian, 33, of Chicago, both face residential burglary charges. They were arrested and taken to the DuPage County Jail to await their bond hearing.
