Two men charged with killing a police officer 12 years ago had their charges dropped today – and one of them was just released from the Cook County Jail.

Three men were charged with his murder including Tyrone Clay and Edgardo Colon. In a stunning reversal Wednesday, both men had their charges dropped.Clay faced 80 felony counts.
On Wednesday evening, he walked out of the Cook County Jail — where his mother and attorney were both waiting.
Clay spoke to reporters just after he was released and gave his mom a hug.”It feels good after 12 years,” he said. “It feels real good – you’re gone away from your family 12 years.”
