Two Men Arrested and Charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder
On February 22, 2022, at approximately 1:28 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of East 20th Street to investigate a reported shooting.
When officers arrived at the shooting location, they observed a 45-year-old victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
Through the course of their investigation, detectives were able to identify two suspects and obtain arrest warrants.
On March 1, 2022, 20-year-old Steven Jones and 36-year-old Thomas Brooks were arrested and formally charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder.
