RawNews1st – A fight between two hospital employees resulted in both pulling out guns and shooting at each other, according to 8News sources.
Officers with VCU Police responded to VCU Medical Center North Hospital around midnight on Wednesday after receiving a report that shots had been fired inside.
Police said that one man was shot dead while the other man was taken into custody.
“We did our due diligence with Richmond police and continued to ensure there was no additional threat,” said Venuti.
The hospital was put on lockdown but it has since been lifted.
A joint investigation between VCU Police and the Richmond Police Department is ongoing.
