RawNews1st – Florence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate fatal shootings over the weekend.
On Saturday, November 5, 2022 deputies responded to a call of a shooting with a victim on Autumn Lane. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced dead by the Florence County Coroner.
Investigators have arrested Joseph Michael Barefoot, age 19, of 1815 Autumn Lane and charged him with Murder, Pointing and Presenting a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
According to Investigators, Barefoot shot the victim following a verbal and physical altercation.
In a separate and apparently unrelated incident, on Sunday, November 6, 2022 deputies responded to a call of a shooting with multiple victims on Ervin Street in Florence, S.C.
According to Investigators, one victim died and another was transported to an area hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.
