Two are dead on the East Side in an apparent murder-suicide on Saturday, Columbus police said.
Columbus police responded around 11:30 a.m. to the 3200 block of Melissa Place for a report of a shooting. Police located a male victim and medics pronounced that person deceased at 11:39 a.m.
Police learned that a suspect fled the apartment with a gun.
Officers searched the area and found the suspect, an adult male, in the 3000 block of Bexvie Avenue, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Medics pronounced him dead at 12:22 p.m.
Identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
