TWO ARRESTED FOR WEDNESDAY SHOOTING IN REIDSVILLE:
The Reidsville Police Department arrested two city residents for a shooting that happened on Wednesday morning.
According to a statement by the police department – 31-year-old Desmonte Santiago – and 31-year-old April Danielle Turner were arrested by Reidsville police officers.
The shooting happened Wednesday, May 4th. At around 7 o’clock that morning – officers responded to the 400 block of North Washington Avenue. When they arrived – they located a shooting victim with multiple wounds.
According to police – their investigators identified two of the three alleged suspects involved. Desmonte Santiago and April Danielle Turner – both of Ware Street in Reidsville – were arrested at separate locations last night for their alleged involvement.
Desmonte Santiago is charged with two (2) counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, First Degree Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Santiago is being held in the Rockingham County Jail under a $2 million dollar bond.
April Turner is charged with two (2) counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, First Degree Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Turner is being held in the Rockingham County Jail under a $2 million dollar bond.
The Reidsville Police Department apprehended Santiago and Turner with help from officers from the Eden Police Department and deputies from the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
This investigation is ongoing.
