Rawnews1st – At approximately 4:44 p.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to a restaurant parking lot in the 1600 block of W. Division Street to investigate a reported shooting.
When they arrived, they located a 30-year-old male lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses told officers the man’s ex, 29-year-old Tamyiah Williams, came to the location to pick up the child she shares with the victim. During the exchange, they got into a verbal argument.
A short time later, surveillance cameras captured 23-year-old Chanel Sherrod, who drove Ms. Williams to the location, exiting her vehicle and getting into a physical fight with the victim.
While the two of them were fighting, Ms. Williams is seen displaying a handgun and then shooting the victim. She and Ms. Sherrod then return to the vehicle and drive away from the scene.
Detectives obtained arrest warrants for both women.

Late Monday night, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force located them at an address in Arlington and took them into custody without incident.
The child was unharmed and is now being cared for by other family members.
Their booking photos and arrest warrant affidavits are attached to this release.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
Both were booked into the Arlington City Jail on one count of Murder.
