Tulsa Police arrest a man accused of trying to rob a clerk at a Family Dollar.
They arrested Steven Kisler through a unique set of circumstances.
They were called to a man who was despondent and suicidal and found Kisler, who told them, he had a pistol in his back pocket, so they handcuffed him for their safety and his.
They secured his loaded .380 pistol and while that was happening, the City’s Real Time Information Center let the officers know, Kisler was the suspect from the armed robbery the day before on East 21st Street.
They say he pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money but the clerk refused.
Police took Kisler to detective division and after an interview, he was booked into jail for robbery.
Records show he had a DUI in 2010 and got a 1 year suspended sentence.
