Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson said he was detained in Israel following his interview with U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee.
Carlson and his business partner Neil Patel posted on X that they were in Israel before the interview.
Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman claimed that Carlson stayed at the airport and denied an invitation to see different parts of the country.
Two sources exclusively told the Daily Mail that the Israeli government didn’t want Carlson to come into the country. However, he was let in so that a “diplomatic incident” didn’t occur.
A spokesperson from the U.S. embassy in Israel denied that Carlson was detained.
“It is not accurate that Israel only was going to let Tucker into the country for the interview,’ the spokesperson said, according to the Daily Mail.
It is not clear when Carlson’s interview with Huckabee will air.
