Triple shooting leaves 1 dead in Southeast D.C.

A woman was found dead, and two others are injured after a shooting in Southeast D.C.
Tuesday night. It happened just before 9 p.m. on the 5000 block of Benning Road SE near D.C.’s border with Prince George’s County.
D.C. police said a woman died on the scene and a man, as well as a male teenager, were wounded. The man and teen were found conscious and breathing, the Metropolitan Police Department told WTOP.
No word on any suspect information at this time.
Police are planning to hold a media briefing on the shooting tonight.
