Herndon police said they were called to a home in the 500 block of Florida Avenue in Herndon around 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Inside, they found the bodies of three people, two juveniles and an adult, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police spokeswoman Lisa Herndon said she could not release the names or ages of the victims, or information about the weapon used. But she said there is “absolutely no threat to the public at this time.”
Police plan to hold a news conference later in the day, she said, after they finish notifying the next of kin.
She said the Herndon Police Department is collaborating with the Fairfax County Police Department to conduct the investigation.
