RawNews1st – At approximately 3:39 PM, Palatka Police Officers responded to 611 Zeagler Drive, North Florida Putnam Hospital in reference to a person with a gunshot wound.
The victim whose name is not being released is a 19-year-old male. The victim was later transported to a nearby trauma center for his injury and is expected to make a full recovery.
The investigation revealed the victim and Travis Kemp Jr. 15 of Palatka got into an argument over a videogame.
During the argument, Kemp pulled a firearm and shot the victim in the chest. Officers and Detectives searched for Kemp throughout the night but were unable to locate him.
An arrest warrant for aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a minor has been issued for Kemp’s arrest.
Currently an active double-homicide investigation: Do not approach suspect
The Palatka Police Department is actively looking for him.
A cash reward is available for information that leads to his arrest.
